Andrew Beck

My interests are wide-ranging and I specialise in tax, commercial, and public law litigation. I have a particular interest in appellate work, and have conducted many appeals in the High Court, Court of Appeal and Privy Council. I have a Masters degree in tax and company law.

I have written extensively in the areas of contract, company law, tax and general litigation. I am a co-author of McGechan on Procedure, Introduction to Advocacy, Civil Remedies in New Zealand, and Relationship Property on Death.  My books include:

My articles appear regularly in the New Zealand Law Journal and New Zealand Law Review and I am editor of the Procedure Reports of New Zealand.

I have done a considerable amount of work for the New Zealand Law Society, including an opinion on the retention of records. I am currently a Society representative on the High Court Rules Committee, and convenor of the Society’s Civil Litigation and Tribunals Committee.

I have presented several seminars for the NZ Law Society, including Introduction to Company Law, Litigation Involving Companies, and Commercial Law for Litigators.
